There are many theories in which direction artificial intelligence (AI) will take in terms of influencing the sex industry as a whole. Recently, someone commented on my previous Instagram post drawing attention to how AI can actually help providers screen clients. This was a fantastic perspective that I did not even consider when writing this Part 2 of my blog and I’m sure I will continue to conjure up new theories. I responded that AI may also protect clients, perhaps creating a barrier to protect everyone’s identity while validating authenticity.
I see quite a few clients who are fetish driven (some which others may consider taboo), whether it be role-playing, domination of many kinds or cross dressing. A theme that I commonly observe is a drive towards trying new things, and perhaps escalating a behavior to make the fantasy real. For me this is exciting because I always like to try new things with people and I don’t always enjoy my sessions to be mechanical. Now, some sessions have the same structure, where I start with a sensual massage, but the conversation is always unique, which fulfills my need of having an organic session. However, with fetish focused sessions, they aren’t always the same. What I mean by an escalation towards a specific behavior is that things may start out to be a typical session, and eventually move towards the goal of the fantasized desire. For example, a few of my sissy clients started out as regular vanilla session, where I give them a sensual massage. But as time goes on, they become more comfortable with me, and eventually disclose their fantasies of wanting to cross dress, and have a desire towards exploring their sexuality further. We will start out with talking about it, then role-playing, acting out these fantasies and dirty talk, then we will move to dressing up, then make up and eventually have contact with a male. As you can see, there is a chain of events that lead us up to this point. This isn’t always the case with fantasies, and sometimes we will move back-and-forth between these chain of events, but some of my clients who enjoy a variety of fantasies derive their sexual excitement through trying new things in order to keep things fresh. Some people need that extra simulation in order to experience the fullest pleasure that the fantasy offers. So why is this important to acknowledge?
I want to drive home the point that we, as humans, do not fit into neatly packed boxes. One person may enjoy a plethora of fetishes whereas another person may be fixated on only one. For example, I have one sissy who has several fetishes, such as specific types of role playing, whereas another sissy is particularly interested in only acting out their sissy fantasies. Perhaps this differentiation can be based on the type of relationship and bond that they share with me exclusively.
Taking into account both the fact that we are stimulation driven beings and we may have specific fantasies, what are the implications with allowing AI to fulfill some of these fantasies, specifically ones that emulate harming others?
Ethical Considerations
I am not here to group any fetishes and fantasies into one category. Just because a person has a specific kink or preference doesn’t necessarily make them a bad person with deviant thoughts and desires. It is not our fault what we are attracted to. However, ethical considerations are weighed when we act upon these fantasies. As I mentioned above, I have quite a number of people who enjoy certain interactions, or even specific outfits, such as yoga, pants, skirts, or stockings (one of the most popular). Further, I mentioned that there are people who enjoy a variety of fetishes, not just one specific. All of the people I interact with respect my boundaries and I respect theirs as well. But, I want to draw attention to some ethical considerations with regards to inspiring and living out fetishes and fantasies related to harming other people and how creating this outlet through AI (and sex dolls) may inspire people to criminally act upon these desires.
Consent is the most important factor that needs to be considered with any type of interaction. However, there are groups of people in society that cannot be sexually aroused unless they are taking away a persons choice to consent. In fact, there are groups of people who actually derive pleasure from harming others. Some of these people do not even consider consent as a factor in taking what they want because what sexually drives them is a group of people that are not able to consent, specifically when it comes to certain age groups. The common theme with all of these types of people are those who want to take control over others.
There is a group of people who argue that designing AI technology to curb these desires can help reduce sexually driven criminal activity, but research, and my own interactions with people who wish to experience their fantasies in different capacities, suggests this is not always the case. Although this may work for some people, it may actually inspire criminally driven behaviours, specifically with deviant fetishes. Why should we take the risk?
I want to reiterate, not everyone with a specific fetish and preference will want to move forward with escalating behaviour, and not everyone who has a specific fetish will have deviant fantasies of harming others.
Operant conditioning is when someone uses rewards or punishment as a means to condition a person to control frequency of a certain behaviour. One study argues that certain sexual material can provide a gap between fantasy and reality. Their stance is: when we provide the physical tools to live out those fantasies, it encourages operant conditioning. The more we expose ourselves to something, the more normalized these behaviours can appear and the more desensitized we become. This isn’t always a bad thing but, when it comes to infringing on someone’s right to consent, this poses a list of ethical dilemmas. When these tools fail to meet the emotional and cognitive needs of the fantasy, these distorted behaviors will escalate. Living out these fantasies increases the chances of escalated behavior. In my opinion, prevention of living out these fantasies is what we want to avoid.

Keeping in mind that we should err on the side of caution, how do we protect vulnerable populations?
Other Precautions To Consider
AI technology, and the sex doll industry, and can control physical attributes, such as hair color, skin color and even body types. AI is now even programming dolls to give feedback to specific inputs by the user. Considering my perspective above, and considering potential harm reduction, what should we limit in terms of what is legally accessible?
Should sex dolls have a minimum breast size? Should dolls be above a specific height or weight? What about AI feedback? Should we only program these dolls to give pleasurable feedback and not react with fear or pain? We can control these factors, but we cannot control the intent of the purchaser nor can guarantee the prevention of criminal activity. However, drawing attention to the ethical considerations are important for legality purposes and keeping the public safe.
