What Does My Logo Mean?

I came up with this logo a few weeks ago and it’s so interesting how seamlessly organic the process can be when everything feels right and aligns with your values.

My logo has two parts. The first part is the side profile of the human head. Many psychotherapist and counsellors uses variations this image as their logo for their practice. To me, the foundation of this logo communicates that this business offers mental health services.

Some people will modify this logo by including puzzle pieces (to symbolize organizing thought processes and working through mental “puzzles”) or may include a second profile head connected by tree branches (to symbolize growth and the support system of a therapist). I chose to make a mirror image of this head to symbolize the connection between you and I, sharing thoughts and reinforcing my non-judgmental understanding of what you desire. I wanted to convey that I am your ally, see your inner desires and recognize that we are one in the same (even if our desires may differ). Further, I am also a safe space to share, help you deconstruct any blocks that you have (whether it’s sexual focused or related to personal issues within your life) from a mental health perspective. I am a trained and experienced individual who holds a Masters in psychotherapy, and who can add value to your time spent in my company (depending on what your goals of our time spend together is).

Inside of this double head, I decided to include the internationally recognized symbol for female and the internationally recognized symbol for male. Typically, when these symbols are attached, it conveys “sex”. However, I feel like these symbols don’t fully capture all identities and recognition for different sexual preferences. I wanted to try to capture everything in between without making it too complicated. Therefore, I attached these symbols in the middle by a triple infinity symbol (or an endless infinity symbol) which conceptualizes that genders (or sexual preferences, sexual desires, fetishes, alter egos and fantasies) are endless. My goal was to be as inclusive and concise as possible.

Your time spend with me is not a service - but an experience. It’s more than just a physical connection but one where you can be yourself freely without judgment or consequences. It’s an opportunity to build a healthy and professional relationship based on mutual trust, respect and care for one another’s growth. And it’s an opportunity for self-discovery to know yourself deeper than anyone has ever given you the opportunity to. I work from a mental health, sex coach lens with my foundational knowledge and experience in psychotherapy. And I’m here to support you through your journey, with wherever things may take us. From my experience, sometimes we may idealize where we may go, but things never turn out the way we planned. These experiences can even differ from session to session. Enjoy the ride, keep an open mind, and get excited for the unexpected.
